Introducing Radio Flyer's Expert Play Panel

February 06, 2020

I am thrilled to be a part of Radio Flyer’s #PledgeToPlay. Play is always a focus for my family and Radio Flyer’s 2020 pledge has already inspired me to weave playful elements into everything we do – even the mundane. I’ve spent hours watching my toddler twins play, and I now have first-hand experience of the critical role play has in their development as tiny humans. Play is how they make sense of their world. It is how they practice new skills and develop critical values. Kids think they want playtime, but really they need it. And I get why kids today are playing less. Families are pressed for time, physical resources, and mental energy. But I also know that parents want kids to play more, and we want to play with them!

Play is an essential cornerstone of childhood. Radio Flyer has been working in play for over 103 years, so we know the power it has. We want you to get out and play more than ever in 2020. And we want to help.

We are excited to bring you our newest #PledgeToPlay initiative, our Radio Flyer Expert Play Panel. Once a month, our blog will feature one of our four panelists with their unique background and child development expertise. Helping kids play is a serious business, so our experts are here with information, ideas, and inspiration.
