Our January Little Red Stories winner was thrilled to share her family’s amazing story with us. Angela, Mike and their two-year-old son, Sawyer, are constantly playing with all their Radio Flyer toys every day. The family enjoys taking walks to the park and pool. Their beloved little red wagon, gifted for Sawyer’s first birthday, is always behind them.

Sawyer loves playing with his Dad, but misses him while he is away serving in the military. Angela tells us, “It’s been a bumpy ride for our little family [with Mike being away], but I wouldn’t change it for the world.” Angela states that it has been hard for Mike to watch their little guy grow up only through pictures and video, and the family can’t wait to be reunited soon again. Even though Mike is away, Angela describes the bond her son and his dad share as “amazing.” “Whenever we face-time on our phones he knows exactly who his Dad is! Sawyer will bring me my phone saying "Daddy! Daddy!” Angela says.

Sawyer also adores his Corgi, Leo. The two play together all day. They even play in the wagon together, which Angela describes to us as, “the sweetest thing she has ever seen.”  Leo also likes to watch Sawyer play on his new Radio Flyer 4-in-1 Stroll N’ Trike.

Sawyer, Leo, and Angela would go on walks around the base with their wagon when Mike was in the field. But when Mike is at home, he is always playing with Sawyer and taking him on walks with the wagon.  When it’s hot outside, the family sometimes packs up the wagon for a special weekend at the beach!  Angela loves having the wagon to store all of her beach goodies, but also finds it handy for when Sawyer gets tired of walking.

We are excited for the family to be reunited again to create more warm memories. Congratulations to Sawyer, Angela, Mike and of course, Leo!
