Introducing the 3-in-1 Tailgater Wagon™ with Canopy

Introducing our newest folding wagon, the 3-in-1 Tailgater Wagon™ with Canopy — just in time for tailgating season!

“We started researching this wagon during the summer of 2017,” says David, Product Development Engineer at Radio Flyer. “After identifying key problems consumers experienced with folding wagons, we brainstormed ways to solve them. Then, we went from a prototype in January to a shippable product in May.”

Our developers realized people like to haul a lot of cargo in their folding wagons. It turns out, that includes everything from a large cooler to bag chairs and sporting equipment. Many families were toting so much cargo, there was no room left in the wagon for kids! From there, we developed the foldable cooler caddy. This storage platform accommodates common items and gets kids back where they belong — in the wagon!

“Now, you can haul all of your stuff along with your little ones!” David notes.

The 3-in-1 Tailgater Wagon™ with Canopy is designed as a full-sized, EZ fold wagon for kids and offers additional cargo storage. The stow-away cooler caddy covers all of your tailgating needs while providing extra space for a cooler, folding chairs, and other cargo. Featuring an easy, one-hand folding mechanism, you can take or store the wagon on any adventure.

The high seat backs and thick, padded seats with seatbelts provide a comfortable, safe ride, and safety straps and zippers transform the wagon into bench seating. Meanwhile, a UV canopy protects children from the sun. The canopy can then be stored in the rear storage pouch, and its poles can retract into the wagon frame when not in use. Keeping the rigors of daily life in mind, the 3-in-1 Tailgater Wagon™ with Canopy comes with DuraClean^® fabric, which is easily wiped clean. You’ll also find two front cup holders and a magnet to hold the handle upright when not in use.

Intended for kids 1½ years and up, it offers a maximum weight capacity 150 pounds in the wagon, plus an additional 50 pounds on the cooler caddy.

“My favorite part about the development process was gaining an understanding our consumers’ needs and developing a product that directly solved the challenges life brings,” David says.

"The set up was so easy and we were using the wagon in minutes. It is so lightweight and easy to travel with.
