Summer seems to culminate in the United States on the 4th of July. We gather outdoors and embark on fun summer activities as we reflect on the independence our country gained on this day in 1776. Watermelon and apple pie are enjoyed by family and friends and fireworks boom through the air well into the evening.

As you’re enjoying the summer sun, many of you will head to your local parade to show your spirit and celebrate with the neighborhood. The creativity doesn’t stop at the local floats rolling by, either! To help transform your Radio Flyer ride into a creative parade vehicle, we have 6 parade ready ideas for you to try with your family!

1) Transform your wagon into a patriotic spaceship, sailboat or covered wagon

2) Deck out your Tesla Model S for Kids with red, white and blue balloons!

3) Turn your little red wagon into a little red cooler filled with ice and water bottles to pass out during the parade. Hot parade watchers will thank you!

4) Create DIY garland to deck out your ride. Grab red, white and blue construction paper, tape, and scissors. Simply cut mthe construction paper into one inch wide strips, then loop them together with tape. You can even add your own style by drawing stars & stripes on the paper!

5) Turn your miniature parade float into a front seat view of the parade! With our 3-in-1 folding wagons, you can easily transform your ride into a bench seat for little ones to watch and enjoy the the fun.

6) Decorate your scooter, trike or wagon with garland, streamers and American flags

Just for you, we’ve made a Parade Decorating Kit to assist with your patriotic ride just in time for July 4th.

We want to see your patriotic rides! Post a picture on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and tag #radioflyer to share all of your amazing creations.
